It’s Been A While…

Wow. Life always seems to get in the way and I end up going months without writing a post on here. The last post I did was in April and we are now nearing the end of September. Time really does fly.

I first started this blog at the end of 2019 when I was still pretty new to writing on Wattpad. Now my book His Sunshine has 386k reads and I couldn’t be more proud of how far I’ve come. Not only that, but a little story I did on the side for some fun has just hit 153k reads! Smile was never supposed to go very far – it was just a light-hearted short story that I posted for fun.

But now the author of one of my favourite books on Wattpad has added my stories to her reading list. Arc-en-ciel is one of my favourite books and I’ve had it on my ‘i loved this so much you need to read it’ reading list for a while now. When I went back to re-read it yesterday, I saw that on her profile she had a reading list called ‘if you liked arc-en-ciel’ and both His Sunshine and Smile were on there. My stories were on there. One of my favourite authors has read my work! I almost can’t believe it!

But those stories have really taken off since I last posted to this blog, and I’m so excited about it. I now have a TikTok account as well, where I post snippets of my stories and recommendation videos.

A lot has changed since April. I’ve even started reading more published books as well as Wattpad stories! So I have a lot of those recommendations too! My favourite thing about this blog is the recommendations and little reviews I do at the end. So I’m going to go right to that! Because there’s quite a few!!!

First, we’ll start with the Wattpad stories. The first recommendation I have is Constellations of You and Me by yehree. This books was so incredible. It was sweet and heartbreaking and just so amazing. I loved it so much but it took a while to read because some parts just hurt so much. But it was worth it in the end because it was an incredible book.
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/208306114-1-1-constellations-of-you-and-me-%E2%9C%93

Next up is If The Shoe Fits by hepburnettes. It’s a short story and the description had me hooked immediately. This book was funny and sweet and the love between the two main characters was perfect. I loved every second of this book. Highly recommend it.
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/12207863-1-4-if-the-shoe-fits-%E2%9C%93

The next recommendation I have is a series called the Greenville Girls Series by alexandramar1e. I actually first read the second book in the series when it first came out, before the author decided to write the full series. More recently, I went back and read through all three books in the series and fell in love with the author’s books all over again. The books each follow a different couple – there are three books so far but another is on the way. The first book is called Candy Lips and oh my goodness this book was good. The whole series is fantastic and it is absolutely a must-read.
Link to first book: https://www.wattpad.com/story/152249084

Next up we have the fourth book in a series that I talked about last time. Since the last time I posted here, I have gone back to re-read this series at least twice, which just proves how phenomenal it is. Marcus by MelyssaWhyte is the fourth instalment of the Knight Security series and we are currently waiting on the fifth story as we speak. I cannot put into words how much I love these books. The men in these books are so perfect it should be illegal and they love so hard it makes me want to cry. These books are perfect, just go read them.
Link to first book in series: https://www.wattpad.com/story/253385737-declan

And speaking of MelyssaWhyte, another story of hers, If You Were Ours has just been added to my list of favourite books and it’s not even completed yet. It’s a polyamorous relationship which isn’t usually something I read about, but her writing is just so incredible. She writes so well and I absolutely love this story. The two male leads are incredible and they love the main character so much it hurts. This book is incredible (and very spicy).
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/271505513-if-you-were-ours

Lastly we have a book from an author that I have talked about so many times before, but I just can’t stop mentioning it. Knox is the first of the Marino Brothers Duet by TheFeveredBookaholic. This is a dark romance that had me literally in tears. This book is so incredible, I still think about it almost every day. I go back to it again and again just because the love is so good and raw and this story is heartbreaking. I’m holding out for the next book in the duet, but I know that one will hurt more than the first. There’s always a happy ending though, which is one of the reasons I love this author. She puts her characters through hell but makes them strong enough to end up happy in the end. Just go read it, what are you doing?
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/251765570-knox-marino-brothers-duet-1

Now we have the published books to recommend! I’m going to start of with a series that everyone has probably read by now, but I’m still going to mention it because I love it so much. The Off Campus and Briar U series’ by Elle Kennedy. Holy hell these books are so amazing. I mean, come on. Garrett mother-trucking Graham everyone. The most perfect man to ever exist. The boys in these books are so good – they’re all hockey players and they’re all players if you know what I mean. But then each of them meets a girl who turns their world upside down. One at a time, these boys fall in love and it’s so incredible. I love all of the books in this series, but The Deal, which is the first book in the Off Campus series is my favourite. 100% recommend these.

Next I have to recommend Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful and heartbreaking this story is. I can’t even put into words how much I love this book. It’s incredible. I have basically all of her books on my tbr and I can’t wait to read all of them, even though I know they will break my heart. Definitely recommend this book.

Marriage For One by Ella Maise is my next recommendation. All I have to say is it’s a marriage of convenience, he brings her flowers every week, and he says things like this when she asks to watch him cook: “I don’t like company, but I like you. You can watch.” Jack Hawthorne is so perfect it hurts. You need to read this book.

Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan. Oh my goodness. I loved this book. It was perfect. I loved everything about it. It was frustrating and beautiful but I loved every second of it. Archer’s character was perfect and I loved everything about him. I highly recommend this one.

And lastly we have The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas. Aaron Blackford everyone. The perfect man. It’s enemies to lovers. An office romance. Fake dating. it’s perfect. Spice was amzing. Highly recommend. I don’t even have the words to describe how good this was. I read it so fast and fell in love with it so much. It was incredible, please read it.

I’m Back!

Hello again!

I haven’t made a blog post for about three months now, but that means I have plenty of things to talk to you about!

First of all, I don’t remember if I mentioned this in my last post, but His Sunshine is now fully published on Wattpad! And! I have started uploading chapters for my spin-off The Carters weekly! His Sunshine is currently at 4.3k views and I couldn’t be more grateful! I have readers from all over the world and I am so happy that I am lucky enough to share my work with all these incredible people.

In other news, I – as always – have way too many new book ideas for me to even keep up with. I have a whole document filled with my random thoughts and half-planned stories. I currently have at least 19 story ideas – and these are just the most recent ones. There are so many ideas that I’ve had to put on the back burner for now because otherwise my brain gets too overwhelmed. I’m really trying to stay focused on the series I’m writing at the moment, but it’s so difficult when I want to write so much more too!

The prequel to His Sunshine is also in the works at the moment and we are at chapter twelve. I know this story will end up being a bit shorter than the first story which ended up with 45 chapters. I can’t wait to share that story with everyone as well!

Now, I have many book recommendations to share because I have had lots of time to read. We’ll start off with the books I’m currently reading at the moment.

First is Caleb, the third book in a series by MelyssaWhyte on Wattpad. I started off reading Declan, the first book in the series and I read it all in one day – it was that good. And it’s not short book at almost 50 chapters. These books are so incredibly good. If you love a dominant male lead and a strong but submissive female main character, these books are for you! In all three books in the series so far, the couples all have a very similar dynamic. It’s not too fast paced, but it’s not a slow burn either. Absolutely beautiful books.
Link to the first book in the series: https://www.wattpad.com/story/253385737-declan

Next up is the other books I’m currently reading – Bar Red’s Redemption by STESLARA on Wattpad. I love this book! It’s quite long, so I’m only about halfway through it at the moment, but I’m loving it so far! I love the main characters and their relationship! There are some quite triggering themes in this novel though, so be careful before jumping straight in to read it. Some chapters do get quite heavy, but I absolutely love the way the author writes. So beautiful.
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/213631919-bar-red%27s-redemption-%E2%9C%94

Now, onto the other books I have read since the last time I posted on here!

First, we have Pirouette by TheBibicalSinner on Wattpad. This! Story! Is! So! Amazing! I love so many stories written by this author. He’s honestly an amazing writer. Thi story is so funny and sad and beautiful. I loved reading it so much. 10/10. Just read it.
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/81105709-pirouette

Next is Arc-en-ciel by CoffeeGirl_10 on Wattpad. This book is so good. It’s funny and adorable and I just love everything about it. I’m going to re-read this book in the future because I just love it so much. I love the relationship between the main characters and the writing is beautiful. Definitely recommend this book.
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/189168320-arc-en-ciel

My next recommendation is My Bodyguard And I by MaySkyfire on Wattpad. This is such a good slow burn and when they finally get together it’s so perfect. I love the characters in this story and the plot is so good! I loved this book so much.
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/234705832-my-bodyguard-and-i-%E2%9C%93

Lastly, Captive of the Sea by AuthorAnon_ on Wattpad. This book is quite different to the others, but I loved it. It tore my heart into a million pieces but in the best way possible. I love this book. It broke me but I loved every second of it. Definitely give this one a read.
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/191479848-captive-of-the-sea

Alright, that’s all the recommendations I have for you today! On another note, have you listened to Fearless (Taylor’s Version) yet? Holy- I’m in love. Listen to it right now if you haven’t – you’re missing out.

2021 Update!

Hello! It’s been a couple months since I last posted on here and we’re now in 2021!! Thank goodness.

I’ve been updating my story ‘His Sunshine’ on Wattpad every two days and I’m now up to Chapter Thirty-Two! There’s only a little over ten chapters to go! I can’t believe it, honestly. Time has flown by.

Today I got the most wonderful message from a Wattpad user. She told me how she’s been reading my story and she loves it. She said the most wonderful things about my writing and it has honestly given me the much-needed motivation to continue writing the other books I have planned. I’ve been a little stuck while trying to write the sequel/spin-off of ‘His Sunshine’, but hearing that someone is actually reading my work and genuinely liking it gives me more of a reason to continue. The next book is coming along quite well, I think, and I’m so excited about it!

Now, for the Wattpad book recommendations!!!

First up is Smoke of Sighs by AmiTheDarkLady. This. Book. It took me a while to read because a) it’s hella long and b) I had to pause for hours at a time because I physically could not take the hurt/frustration. But I would 10000% recommend this book. It’s very ~spicy~ so if that’s your thing, please read this one. The spice in this is magnificent. And the characters a beautiful. The character development is beautiful. The plot is beautiful. The way it’s written is beautiful. Everything about it is amazing. Highly, highly recommend.
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/209919952-smoke-of-sighs

Next is The Complex Art of Rosie by petuniash. This book is beautiful. It’s so well written and unique. I loved it from the moment I started reading it. It tore me to shreds, but it was so worth it in the end. All the best books break you down and put you back together again by the end. This one did exactly that. The character development of the main character was everything. So gorgeous. Please give this one a read.
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/220659831-the-complex-art-of-rosie

Lastly, we have Lean On Me by SarahLWhite. This book is heartbreaking and hot and gorgeous. I loved it from the start it was incredible. The chemistry between the main characters was hot and beautiful and I loved everything about them. This book was incredible, I can’t say enough about it. Just trust me on this one and go read it. You won’t regret it.

I did it

I finally freaking did it. I published my book to Wattpad.

AHHHHHHHHHHHH

I can’t believe it honestly. After two years it finally happened. I have an exam on Monday, but instead of studying for it, I cranked out the last five chapters and boom. Book finished.

I have the prologue posted already if you want to… you know… go check it out or something…?

But seriously I am so happy right now. This just goes to show that if you put your mind to something, you can do anything. I mean, I wrote a 130,000 word book for crying out loud. Yes, that is actually how long it is. 133,052 words at the moment. This includes forty-five chapters, the prologue, the epilogue and half of a bonus chapter I’m writing. Because I can’t let my babies go just yet.

Anyway, here’s the link if you want to give it a read: https://www.wattpad.com/story/144726189-his-sunshine

Because it’s only been two days since my last post and I have been writing pretty much that whole time, I haven’t got many book recs for you. I have got one in mind though. It’s by an author that I have already talked about before, AshlynMontgomery. She wrote With You and Lilah which are two of my favourite books on Wattpad. Now, she has just released her new book, Cold-Blooded and there are only three chapters so far. but her writing is so good I already love it. Her characters a phenomenal, seriously. I wish I could write like her. So please go give her book a read.

Almost There

I am so unbelievably scared and excited at the same time. This song has been my mood for the past couple of days because…

I’m coming to the end of the book I’ve been writing since 2018. That’s right, I had the idea for my book in early 2018 and I created the document that has all my major planning on the 25th of May 2018. I have been working on this book for over two years and it’s finally coming together.

I have been on and off writing this book for so long that I’m seriously starting to think these characters that I’ve created are real. They feel that way sometimes. This book is my baby and I am so unbelievably scared to publish it to Wattpad. At the beginning of this year, it was my plan to have it published by June. Clearly, that hasn’t happened, but I gave myself a little slack considering the circumstances of this year.

It’s looking like I’ll have it published by the end of this year. That is, if I don’t develop a case of Writer’s Block. It has felt so satisfying to finally write the climax of this book. I have had a particular scene written for months and I finally got to work it into the plot. It felt good to finally have it in there and not just sitting to the side. I think I have about five chapters left to write, but we’ll see where the book takes me.

When I first came up with the idea, I didn’t think it would take me as far as it has. But now I’m here in 2020, almost finished with two other short stories already published on Wattpad. (And another half-finished re-write of a book, but we’re not going to talk about that).

Anyway, I just needed to express my happiness somewhere, so I thought I’d share my thoughts as I come to the end of my journey with this book here. If you’re wondering, the book is called His Sunshine. I’ll post an update when I finally release it, for anyone who actually cares. But for now, I’ll share a little snippet to give you a taste of what the book is like.

I take in a deep breath before blurting, “Why are you lying in the middle of the road?” Wow, way to be subtle, Layla. I scold myself, regretting the frankness of my tone. But my curiosity is eating away at me and I can’t help it. I stuff my hands inside the pockets of my jacket and tilt my head slightly as I await his answer.

“This is a school parking lot,” He answers slowly, “no cars are gonna come in or out of here for another couple hours.” Reece grabs his jacket once he is finished speaking, taking out a lighter and a box of cigarettes from the pocket. He picks a death stick out of the box before putting it to his lips, acting as if he has actually answered my question. Which he hasn’t.

“That doesn’t really explain why you chose to lay in the middle of the road.” I pull my eyes away from his lips as I take a step closer. I watch him flick the lighter to bring up a flame before lighting the end of his cigarette. He puts the lighter back in his pocket.

His eyes finally meet mine once again and his sharp gaze examines me closely. “I felt like it.” He minimally replies. We both fall silent for a moment before he speaks up again. “You’re a curious one, aren’t you?” It is more of a statement than a question. I can’t exactly argue.

I shrug my shoulders before deciding to sit down on the ground in front of him. He blows the smoke from between his lips as I speak, “I guess I am.”

In and out the smoke passes through him again and again for a silent moment. Then he suddenly stops, sitting up and sighing quietly. His stare on me is piercing. “You’re so goddamn stubborn. Why are you here?”

I ignore the part about me being stubborn and answer his question, “Well, you see, when I saw someone lying in the middle of the road, my instinct was to check if this person was mentally stable.” I pause, a teasing smile pulling up my lips, “So far, the results are undetermined.”

If you want to let me know what you think of this little snippet, that would be great!

Anyway, now onto my book recommendations, of course, all from Wattpad. I have quite a few to share today.

First up is a book called Of the Sea by NicoleEvette. I don’t often read supernatural stories – I mostly read romance or teen fiction – but I just couldn’t resist this one. This story is only short with just eighteen chapters, but it is so good! It’s about a mermaid, as hinted at in the title, but it is not so unbelievably unrealistic. It is honestly such a good book and it is so well written. I loved it so much and you must give it a read!
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/40651298-of-the-sea

Next is a Harry Styles fan fiction, so you can move along if you have no interest in that. But if you do… hello my people! We can share our love for this man together. This book is called Grey Street and it is written by saswee4. This is of course, an au, so although Harry Styles has the same name, he is not Harry Styles. This book is so good, I cannot even begin to explain it. It’s just *chef’s kiss*. I love, love, love it so much and you absolutely have to read it. The main character is abrupt and definitely not normal, but I absolutely love that about her. Something about this story just had me hooked right from the get go. It’s incredible.
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/22747033-grey-street-h-s

Marcus Harrison’s Paradise by iamyumnamahmood is my next recommendation, and if you like the ‘single-dad hires nanny for kid and they end up in love’ trope, this book is for you. It starts off a little slow, but there are many twists that I definitely didn’t see coming! It is honestly such a great book and you have to check it out!
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/238730467-marcus-harrison%27s-paradise

Next we have one of my new favourite books that I have found on Wattpad, Stella and the Boxer by RhapsodyBoulevard. This is the only book on this site written by this author and I seriously wonder why, because her writing is amazing. It’s an older story as it was a winner of The Wattys in 2014. But I had never read and now I am so glad that I finally have. This books is so good. It’s a bit fast paced, but also not at the same time. It made sense for it to go so fast. The chemistry between the characters was so good and the whole time it felt like such a wholesome relationship, and I loved that about it. This book is seriously, seriously good, so please give it a read!
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/8210229-stella-and-the-boxer

This next book is one I read only today but it immediately became one of my favourites. Lani & the City Boy by -greeneyess is a short story that only took me an hour or so to read. It’s a dialogue story, so the chapters are only short. This book is so worth a read! It honestly took me by surprise how good this book was, because I went into it having only just found it, not expecting much. But it turned out to be so good. I absolutely loved the characters and the way it was written. Definitely a must read!
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/225834280-lani-the-city-boy-%E2%9C%94%EF%B8%8F

Lastly, we have a book by an author you should definitely know by now if you have read literally any of my other blog posts. TheFeveredBookaholic is easily my favourite author on Wattpad. Easily. Her books are so good it’s not even funny. And I know I talk about them a lot, but for good reason. She has just recently come out with a new stand-alone called Sweet Spot. We are only three chapters in so far, but I’m already in love. The way she writes her characters is incredible, and this book in particular is absolutely hilarious. If I had to pick one book to read from this list it would hands down be this one. The author updates on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, but even that doesn’t seem to be enough! Seeing a new update for her books is my favourite part of my week. I can’t say a whole lot about this book as she has only just started releasing chapters, but I already know it’s going to be amazing. If you don’t want to read an ongoing story, she has seven other fully completed novels – The Fighter’s Den Series. I’m not going to go on a full rant about those, but they are my favourite books, not just on Wattpad. Anyway, please go check out her new book! It’s amazing already.

More Wattpad Recommendations

Hi, it’s me again. I have once again procrastinated everything that I should have been doing and instead read an unhealthy amount of books on Wattpad. But what else is new?

I don’t really have anything else to mention in this post other than the new books I have read. Most of my time has been taken up with school work, watching tiktoks and reading on Wattpad.

So, here are the best books I’ve read on Wattpad over the last month!

First up is a story called The Bodyguard by IrenaMichalec. Honestly, I went into this story with pretty low expectations. Not because it looked bad, but because of how I found it. You see, somehow during the many hours I have spent scrolling through tiktok, I have stumbled across Wattpad tiktok. Shocker, right? Well, I saw a tiktok talking about the trope where there’s the daughter of a rich man (usually involved in the mafia) who hires a bodyguard for his daughter. I realized I hadn’t read a story like that in forever, so I went straight to Wattpad and went to the ‘bodyguard’ tag. The Bodyguard was one of the first stories what came up (surprise, surprise) and I added it to my library. But can I just say that this story is hands down one of the best books I have read period. Not even just on Wattpad. I love, love, loved it. It’s a slow burn, emphasis on the slow. Literally, the characters only kissed once, I think. This usually isn’t the sort of story I go for because, ah *cough* I’m a sucker for some good smut. But I love a good slow burn and this gave me the slowest of slow burns. I absolutely recommend this book, it is so amazing.
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/71163301-the-bodyguard-%E2%9C%94

Next up is a book that is quite the contrast to The Bodyguard because it is filled with some good, steamy smut. I mean, it’s written by a user by the name of Sarcasm_Orgasm. It is called Teach Me. This is quite a short story and it escalates pretty quickly. But it is really good and I absolutely loved it! I’ve read quite a few books by this author on Wattpad and I loved them all! I highly recommend her works!
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/87229523-teach-me

Crossing Lines by Jane4Rain is the next story I have to recommend to you. This book is so well written I loved it! The characters are amazing and I just loved everything about this book. I literally can’t praise this book enough, it was incredible. I loved the relationship between the two main characters. Definitely give this one a read!
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/229747347-crossing-lines-complete

Lastly, we have a book that is still ongoing called I Accidentally Summoned a Demon by JaideHarley. If that title alone isn’t enough to draw you in, I don’t know what will. This. Book. Is. So. Good. I wouldn’t recommend an ongoing book to you unless it was really, truly worth it. And this one so is. If you love a dominant male lead with a soft spot for the love of his life, THIS IS IT. This is the book for you, I’m telling you. This is so well written and I am honestly so excited to see how it ends. I don’t have words to describe how much I love this book. Please go give it a read!
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/221204340-i-accidentally-summoned-a-demon

Before, I go, I want to mention one more thing. I know I talk about this author every single post, but it’s because I love her that damn much. TheFeveredBookaholic is possibly my favorite author of all time. She has 7 published stories as part of the Fighter’s Den world and she is releasing a new stand-alone on November 6th. I literally have no idea how I’m going to be able to wait that long for her book. I’m going to have to go back and read everything else of hers beforehand to survive. I have been living off her updates on The Unexpected Path for months now and I don’t know what I’ll do with out updates multiple times a week now that it’s finished. That book was incredible, just like the rest of her novels. Please, please, please go give her books a read. I promise you won’t regret it.

August Favourites!

I thought I’d start posting one of these every month – or every month that I remember to do this – to share my favourite books, music, t.v shows etc. from the past month. Most of the books will be from Wattpad (*sigh* I know, I have a problem), so I’m sorry if you don’t use that site.

Alright, first up, I want to talk about my favourite music!

I watched Hamilton for the first time at the end of last month and ever since I have been constantly listening to the soundtrack! I love the music so, so much and I absolutely recommend you listen to it if you haven’t already.

I have also loved listening to a few of the songs on Taylor Swift’s new album, Folklore. I have linked her song august as I thought it was quite fitting for the title of this post! The main songs that I have been listening to this month from her album are: the 1, cardigan, the last great american dynasty, and august. I love the songs on her new album! They are so soft and quite calming. I’ve found that it’s a great album to listen to while I’m studying!

This is a song by a artist that is still quite small, but you may have heard about them on TikTok! Their manager basically said that they wouldn’t be able to get very far releasing a song on their own, and they wanted to prove him wrong. This song is actually so good and is one of my favourites at the moment!

This is another song by a small artist I found on TikTok but his music is so good! I love this song so much! I love finding smaller artists like this because they’re music is almost always so good and they deserve to be recognised! Go check out his song as well!

Okay, now I’m moving onto the t.v shows I have watched this month! I have only really watched one show this month as I have been super busy with school, but I would still love to share it!

haley ☂︎︎ on Twitter: "IM SUCH AN IDIOT WHY DID I JUST NOW ...

The Umbrella Academy!! I absolutely love this t.v series and I was so excited to watch season two. I loved it so much but – as always – they left us on a huge cliffhanger and I don’t know how I’m going to wait for season three!

Now onto the books! Of course, these are all from Wattpad. My first two recommendations are still ongoing and I usually don’t add them in if that is the case, but I just had to make an exception for these two!

First up is a book called Taming the Street Racer by @koolkenz on Wattpad. This book is so, so good. The part that it is up to now is heart-shattering and it makes me want to cry, but the best stories always do! And I have hope that everything will work out for the two main characters so there’s no way I am going to stop reading it! This book is so well-written and the characters are everything!
Link: https://www.wattpad.com/story/231385938-taming-the-street-racer

Next is another ongoing story called If The World Was Ending by @ABrunetteGirl on Wattpad. You’ve probably heard the song by the same title and I’m guessing the story is loosely based around that. The premise is that there are ten days until the world will end and the two main characters make the most of that time together. I only started reading this a few days ago but I am loving it so far! I’m not sure how often she updates, but I think it’s quite frequently. The story is very well written and I love the concept!

Now I’d like to talk about a book that I literally just finished reading and I came straight to my draft of this post to write my recommendation. It is the first in a series that is so far made up of six books, the sixth of which is still ongoing. The book is called Chet by @KatCWrites on Wattpad and it is the first of the Cobra series. I don’t know how many books the author plans to write in this series, but I hope they never stop because I loved the first book. I have also read the second book in the series and I loved that one as well! These books are so good and the dialogue is so well written. The banter between the two main characters in the first book before they got together was everything I swear. I’m a sucker for love interests who are assholes with a heart of gold and this author gave me exactly that! I highly recommend this book and I will come back with my thoughts on the rest of the books in this series once I’ve read them!

Lastly, I’m going to, once again, talk about my favourite author on Wattpad, @TheFeveredBookaholic. I have talked about her stories many times on this blog and I am going to continue talking about them probably forever. They are that good. She honestly deserves to be published and I am not just saying that. Her work is incredible. She released a novella earlier this month called RAZE which is a prequel to the Fighter’s Den series that I fell in love with years ago. The story only has fifteen chapters – including the epilogue – but oh my gosh I loved every word of every single one of them. The absolute magic that she creates between her characters is indescribable. And the main character Greg is… so hot. Everything about this story is amazing and I loved every second of it. She is still updating her ongoing story The Unexpected Path multiple times a week which I am living for at the moment. She also has the full five books of the Fighter’s Den series completed. The author is also currently working on a new novel that she plans to have out later this year and I am so excited to read that as well! I could go on forever about her works, but I’ll just leave it at that. Go read her books!

Book Recommendations

Hi.

So… It’s almost August now? Don’t know if I believe that honestly.

But anyway. I have been reading quite a bit over the last couple of months (on Wattpad mostly), and I would like to share some of my favourite stories with you!

Usually I have some other content in these posts, but really I just want whoever is reading this to read these books. These authors are seriously amazing.

First up, we have I Need You To Hate Me by @_genicious on Wattpad and the ongoing sequel, I Need You To Love Me. The first book had me hooked and I didn’t put my phone down for hours on end. I was sad when I realised the main characters’ story was not over, because I wanted to know what happened. But then I saw that the author had already started writing the sequel! Honestly, I was so excited. They update about once a week and every update has me more excited than the last. I would seriously give this series a read, it is so good.
Here’s a link to the first book: https://www.wattpad.com/story/214403267-i-need-you-to-hate-me

Next is a book I only just finished reading last night, Josh & Emma by @Write_4ever_ on Wattpad. This books is so, so amazing and funny and heart-wrenching. Some moments had me squealing and others had me crying, but it was honestly incredible. This author is so incredibly talented and I have already added many of her other books to my library for me to read. I really recommend giving this one a try.

Loving You Differently by @feverdreamms on Wattpad is a book that is still ongoing, but i had to add it to this list. It is so sweet and heart-shatteringly real. The love story in this one is incredible. I’m honestly in love with it.

The next recommendation I have is written by an author I have talked about many, many times before. @TheFeveredBookaholic is the author of the Fighter’s Den series which is now has all five books completed. I have already recommended these books before, but I will say it again, GO READ THESE!!! Now, the book I am recommending today is a spin-off from this series called The Unexpected Path. Oh. My God. She’s done it again. Another heart-breaking story that is just so real and raw. This book is perfect for those who love an enemies to lovers romance. But the main character, Lucas, is not one to be messed with. He comes off as an asshole, to put it bluntly, and he kind of is. This book is not for the faint of heart. But if you want a story that will have you in tears, this is the one. It is still ongoing, but the author updates multiple times a weak and the updates are pretty long. Seriously, her work is some of the best I have ever read.

Next, is a book called His Heart’s Desire by @loualou19 on Wattpad. This book is so good, I loved it. It’s another romance (let’s be honest, all of these are romance) and it is so, so amazing. The main love interest is all protective and the main character is so sweet. Honestly an amazing love story.

The next recommendation is, so far, a two book series that is still ongoing, but it is so good. It is called Falling For An Inmate by @TheGatsbyEffect. The first book is completed and the second only has one chapter uploaded so far. It is a prison love story and- oh my gosh, the FEELS! Seriously, seriously amazing and I am so excited for the second book!

My final recommendation to whoever is reading this is, once again, another love story. This one is called Mind and Matter by @ginawriter. This one is pretty long but I loved it. the book is so well written and amazing. I really recommend this one!

I think that is all for now! Also, if you want music recommendations, listen to anything by Harry Styles. Lauv is also amazing.

Bye!

I Really Love Music

Music is amazing, honestly. I listen to it every day for most of the day. I listen to music when I write, when I read, when I do school work… Literally whenever I can!

You’re probably wondering what my point is, because everyone loves music. Well, you probably don’t care, but there are a few songs that I absolutely love that I feel need to be shared with the world. And even if no one sees this, I’d like to have at least tried to get more people to listen to these songs. Because I promise you will love them.

I don’t really listen to a specific genre of music; I listen to pretty much everything. So, I will try and separate my recommendations into sections according to their genre but there may also be just a random list at the end that I can’t seem to fit into a genre!

First and foremost, I will list my favorite rap music. I know, I know, rap music can really suck sometimes. I never used to listen to it, honestly. But there are a few select songs that I really love. Some of it isn’t just classic ‘rap’ music, but… you’ll see what I mean.

Magic In The Hamptons (feat. Lil Yachty) by Social House

Broke Bitch by Tiny Meat Gang

chateau by black bear

Next is… Country music. Yes, I like country music and I think you will too after hearing these songs.

Beer Can’t Fix by Thomas Rhett and Jon Pardi

Life Changes by Thomas Rhett

Thunder in the Rain by Kane Brown

Tequila by Dan + Shay

Ridin’ Roads by Dustin Lynch

Alright, Next up we have rock music. I know, my music taste is really all over the place, you don’t have to tell me.

18 by Anarbor

I Think I’m Okay ( with YUNGBLUD & Travis Barker) by Machine Gun Kelly

Scotty Doesn’t Know by Lustra

Alright, this song I don’t really like that much except for one line. You’ve probably heard it before, but I seriously think it’s one of my favorite lines ever written. DONTTRUSTME by 3OH!3

“You tell your boyfriend, if he says he’s got beef, that I’m a vegetarian and I ain’t fucking scared of him.”

Ugh, I love that line. Anyway, the next genre is love songs because I am also a huge sap.

The Only Exception by Paramore

Falling Like The Stars by James Arthur

One Day by Tate McRae

Lastly, here are a few songs that I just really, really love at the moment!

Fvck Somebody by The Wrecks

fuck, i’m lonely (with Anne-Marie) by Lauv

Old Me by 5 Seconds of Summer

Falling by Harry Styles

Honestly, I recommend his entire Fine Line album. Both his albums, actually. All his songs are phenomenal.

Okay, that’s enough about music for today. This is a writing blog, not a music blog. So, here is my book recommendation for you today! Once again, it is from Wattpad.

Broken Promises by cammie_grace
Remember how I said I was going to go and read the rest of the stories by this author after I read Better Off? Yeah, I read all 32 chapters of this book last night and fell in love. It’s incomplete, but this is one book that I am willing to wait for. There aren’t many books that I’m willing to wait for updates for because I am a very impatient person, but this book is one of them. The author updates very frequently, so luckily I won’t have to wait for long! I highly recommend this book!

Where Did April Go?

Hi again. It’s been almost a month since I last posted but it feels as if it’s been a week. I swear March lasted five years and then April lasted two days. What even happened in April? I remember nothing. The days just seem to blend into each other now. There’s no such thing as Monday or Tuesday… it’s just another day. It’s so weird and I don’t think I like it.

But anyway, April has given me some more time to write, even if it didn’t feel like a full month. I have come to the conclusion that the book I’ve been working on for almost two years is coming to an end. Everything is starting to wrap itself up in my head and it’s making me sad. It means that I’ve been procrastinating even more because I don’t want it to end. There are only about five or so chapters left for me to write and I have everything planned out… I just can’t find it in myself to write it.

And I’ve also been putting off re-writing the series I already have published on Wattpad, ultimately leaving my readers hanging halfway through the second book. I feel bad, but I also don’t want to keep uploading chapters when I really don’t like the story.

But besides writing, April has also given me a lot more time to read! And boy am I happy about it. There have been two books I’ve read over the past month that have really stood out to me the most. I really enjoyed reading them, so here is my recommendation to you today:

Without You by AshlynMontgomery
This story is so cute and it is a book by the same author of a book that I recommended last time, Lilah. Both of these books hold a special place in my heart now and I highly recommend them both!

Better Off by cammie_grace
I just finished reading this book last night and I loved it! The relationship between the two main characters is so cute! I’m already planning on reading the other books this author has written.
